Amanda Bruce, LMHC

Vice President | Licensed Mental Health Counselor

While hitting an emotional bottom can be painful, I believe it is a significant opportunity for growth. I consider it an honor to be a witness to this process. I believe that therapy should be collaborative, and that the client ultimately understands what serves them best. In addition to this belief, I have employed the following theory and approaches throughout the past 10 years of my outpatient practice: CBT, DBT, Art Therapy, Drama Therapy, Bibliotherapy, Mindfulness, and Attachment Theory.

I work with a broad range of age groups and diagnoses, and specialize in working with individuals who are in recovery from eating disorders and from addiction. I also enjoy working with older children (12 and above) and adolescents who struggle with self-esteem issues.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and Chief Operating Officer of Counseling Services of Greater Boston in Georgetown, MA. My M.A. is in Expressive Therapies and Mental Health Counseling, and my B.A. is in Psychology with a concentration in Sociology.
