Casey Tutino, LMHC

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

As a Mental Health Counselor, my passion in this field centers around helping clients navigate challenges, gain coping skills, and utilize stress management techniques, as ways to support them throughout their mental health journeys.

My degrees include Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and an Associate’s Degree in Philosophy. Previously, before getting my Master’s degree, I worked in ABA for 10 years and have become very familiar with ASD as a result. My background also consists of working both in Partial Hospitalization and Outpatient Settings with a diverse range of clients and diagnoses. Over the last several years, I have gained knowledge and experience working with children, adolescents, adults, seniors, couples and family systems.

My experience consists of aiding clients with a range of challenges including Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, PTSD, BPD, grief processing, trauma processing, and adjustment difficulties. My therapeutic approach consists of CBT/DBT as Relational Cultural Therapy to help create a safe, non-judgmental and supportive space where clients feel heard, understood and validated. I integrate various therapeutic techniques during my counseling session, including but not limited to: play therapy, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, person-centered techniques, self-care approaches, and more, to aid clients on their therapeutic journeys.

My counseling technique involves taking a collaborative approach to therapy by helping and empowering clients to take an active role in their own therapeutic and healing journeys. My belief is that therapy is not ‘one size fits all’, so strength-based individualization and collaboration with clients is a huge priority of mine. I often utilize humor and self-disclosure, when appropriate, to create more of a comforting and safe space for my clients. My dedication lies with providing clients with compassionate, evidence-based care to help promote lasting positive changes. I take pride in providing valuable and helpful treatment in creative, fun, safe, and supportive ways to help each individual, couple, or family system that I work with.
