Licensed Mental Health Counselor | Psychodynamic Psychotherapist

I am a psychodynamically trained licensed psychotherapist with experience in working with depression, anxiety, relationship obstacles, trauma, and dealing with life changes. I have a background in Sociology and my training is Psychoanalytically formed. I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from The Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis and am an advanced candidate in their doctoral program. I am experienced in working in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The treatment I offer takes into consideration the cultural background of the client and any relative conflict resulting from immigration, assimilation and language barriers. I am fluent in English and Persian.

My goal is to provide a comfortable and safe space for each client, one in which we may understand the obstacles to living our best lives, free from repetitive patterns and self doubts. We often struggle with 'not getting what we want' without knowing the reasons for this. Through the process of therapy, we are able to uncover and understand what is holding us back. Whether it is a specific conflict that needs to be addressed, or a general desire to improve life, I am interested in understanding the issue brought to the therapy room.
