I believe that therapy is most effective and satisfying when we collaborate with authenticity and curiosity. As such, I often utilize interventions from dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to help process thoughts and feelings, as well as solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) to incorporate actionable steps for change. Depending on your needs, I may also draw on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and narrative therapy to help you resolve and manage crises that align with your personal story. Increasing mindfulness, building emotional awareness, and reflecting on your strengths are some of the skills you can take away from our work together.
I received my graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from William James College. I've had the privilege of developing my clinical experience in both public schools and community college settings, and I enjoy helping children, adolescents, and adults navigate their respective mental health journeys.
As a 1.5-generation Asian-American immigrant, I am especially passionate about supporting the most vulnerable populations within our communities on matters that often go unseen or unheard. No matter where you're coming from, I'm excited to help you better understand your life and empower you to get where you want to be. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in nature, practicing on my ukulele, and cooking for friends and family.
