As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I am passionate about creating a safe, collaborative, empowering, transformative, and fun environment through a therapeutic relationship. I believe in an eclectic approach to therapy so that the unique needs of each client may be met through collaboration. The interventions I most often implement include play therapy, expressive therapies, person-centered, solution-focused, and strength-based therapies. I work primarily with children (3 & up), teenagers, and young adults with a range of concerns such as anxiety, depression, adjustment to change, ADHD, grief & loss, trauma, self-esteem issues, sexuality and identity exploration, and relational and family issues. I believe in the inherent dignity and worth of every human being, and I recognize my responsibility as a therapist, ally, and advocate in the lives of my clients.
Originally from Georgia, I received my B.S.Ed. in Recreational Management and Leisure Studies from the University of Georgia in 2014, which has given me a unique perspective on the role of play, leisure, and recreation in a therapeutic context. I received my M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Springfield College in 2021 and have been working as a therapist and living in the Boston area with my labrador, Archie, ever since!
