Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience in community and healthcare settings. My work as a therapist has focused on adolescents and adults, with a particular passion for working with young adults. I am comfortable with a wide range of reasons that people seek therapy including mood and anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, life transitions, identity development, adjustment to medical issues, caregiving distress and more. I recognize that many people come to therapy without a diagnosis or without knowing quite how to describe their concerns, which is equally welcome.

Starting therapy can be a difficult decision, so I strive to create an open, welcoming and authentic presence. My goal as a therapist is to reinvigorate a sense of hope and to work together to fulfill the individual intentions brought to therapy. It is an honor to be a part of such a personal process and I aim to use my training to facilitate the learning, growth and healing desired.

My style of therapy is trauma-informed, culturally attentive and flexible to the unique needs of each encounter. My primary approach is grounded in Solution-Focused and Narrative Therapies. I also incorporate principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and more.

I received my Master’s in Social Work from Boston College and my Bachelor’s in Neuroscience from Boston University.
